MARK MEHRANY, MD
Dr.
Mehrany is a board certified Dermatologist, sub-specialized in Mohs
Micrographic Surgery. He is a fellowship trained Mohs
surgeon certified by the American College of Mohs Surgery. He
has experience in all aspects of Mohs Micrographic and reconstructive surgery.
He is an expert in skin cancer and skin surgery. Dr. Mehrany is in
solo practice. The evaluation and treatment of skin cancers are the main
component of his practice. He routinely performs over 1000
Mohs procedures and over 1000 facial reconstructions each year.

AWARDS:
Dr. Mehrany graduated with high distinction from
the University of California at Berkeley where he double majored
in Molecular Cell Biology and Near Eastern Studies. He then attended
medical school at the George Washington University where he graduated as a
member of the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society. After completing
his medical internship at the University of California San Francisco he stayed
on board as a research fellow at the UCSF skin treatment center where he served
as a sub-principle investigator on numerous clinical trials. He then pursued
his dermatology residency training at the Mayo Clinic. Subsequently, he obtained his Mohs Micrographic Surgery and
facial reconstruction training at Oregon Health & Sciences University under the direction of Neil Swanson, MD.
Dr. Mehrany has twice received the American Society of Dermatologic Surgery annual Young Investigator Award. He has also received the American College of Mohs Surgery Theodore Tromovitch Award for his research on skin cancer. His work has been published in numerous medical journals including Journal of the American Academy of Dermatology, Archives of Dermatology, International Journal of Dermatology, Journal of Dermatologic Surgery, British Journal of Dermatology, and Dermatology Clinics Journal. He has authored numerous book chapters on skin cancer prevention, detection, and treatment.
He
is on staff as Assistant Clinical Professor at University of California San
Francisco & Adjunct Clinical Instructor at Stanford University
where he teaches dermatology and dermatologic surgery to medical students
and residents.
